Frase pricing has three self-serve plans: Starter at $49 a month (1 site, 1 seat, 10 articles), Professional at $129 (5 sites, 3 seats, 40 articles) and Scale at $299 (10 domains, 5 seats, 100 articles). Billed yearly they drop 20 percent to $39, $103 and $239 a month. Enterprise is quoted. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, no card.
Those numbers make Frase one of the cheapest ways to get SEO articles written and pushed to a CMS. On the monthly price, a Starter article costs $4.90, a Professional article $3.23 and a Scale article $2.99. Billed yearly that falls to $3.90, $2.58 and $2.39. Every plan includes the agent that drafts and auto-publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity or Wix, SEO and GEO scores, AI Visibility tracking and an MCP server, CLI and API.
What moves the bill is people and volume. Starter has one seat and simply stops at 10 articles; you cannot buy more on it. Professional and Scale add seats at $29 a month each and optional pay-as-you-go: $5 per extra article on Professional, $4 on Scale. A team of five on Professional pays $187, and 50 articles a month on Professional pays $179.
What Frase does not price in is the technical side of the site. Its plans count articles, audit pages and Content Guard rewrites of pages that lose rank. They do not list writing title tags, schema, image alt text, robots.txt or the sitemap into your site. Every Frase plan publishes
The agent that drafts and auto-publishes is on Starter too. Plans differ in volume, seats and sites, not in whether articles reach your CMS.
Starter holds at its limit
Starter stops at 10 articles and 50 audit pages a month. There is no overage switch on it, so the only way past the cap is an upgrade.
Overage is opt-in
Professional and Scale can keep going past the cap at $5 or $4 per article, billed at the end of the cycle. It is off until you turn it on.
Seats are the hidden line
Professional includes 3 seats and Scale 5. Each extra seat is $29 a month, so a content team of eight on Scale adds $87 before a single article.
Hosting is separate
FraseCMS is free to 100,000 page views with a badge. Your own domain without the badge is $19 a month and a million page views is $99.
Technical fixes are not on the list

Is Frase worth the price?

Professional costs $80 more a month and adds two seats, four sites, 30 articles, 200 more audit pages, a content calendar, internal linking suggestions, AI crawler monitoring, Perplexity tracking and optional pay-as-you-go. Starter is one seat on one site and holds at 10 articles.
How much does Frase charge for extra articles?
On Professional an extra article is $5, on Scale $4, but only if you switch pay-as-you-go on; it is off by default and bills at the end of the cycle. Starter has no overage at all, so it stops at 10 articles until you upgrade.
Does Frase fix technical SEO?
