Clearscope costs $129 a month on Essentials and $399 on Business, with Enterprise quoted. Here is what each plan includes, what a draft and a tracked page really cost, which add-ons push the bill up, and when a tool that publishes and fixes the site is the better buy.

Clearscope pricing in one paragraph

Clearscope pricing has two self-serve plans: Essentials at $129 a month (50 tracked queries, 50 pages, 20 topic explorations, 20 drafts) and Business at $399 a month (300 tracked queries, 300 pages, 50 topic explorations, 20 drafts and a dedicated account manager). Enterprise is quoted. Both plans include unlimited users and projects, there is a 14-day free trial, and monthly plans have no contract.

The unusual part is what the price buys. Both plans include the same 20 drafts a month, so the $270 jump from Essentials to Business pays for tracking and monitoring, not for more writing. On Essentials a draft works out to $6.45; on Business, if you only count drafts, it is $19.95. Business makes sense when you need to watch 300 pages and 300 queries across Google, ChatGPT and Gemini, not when you need more content.

Add-ons are cheaper on the bigger plan. Another 100 monitored pages costs $25 a month on Essentials and $15 on Business. Ten more drafts cost $50 on Essentials and $20 on Business, which is $5 or $2 a draft. A team that needs 30 drafts a month on Essentials pays about $179, or $5.97 a draft.

What Clearscope does not price in is getting the article onto your site. Its plans count reports, drafts, pages and tracked queries; the pricing page lists no CMS publishing and no technical fixes. Someone still edits the draft, pastes it into WordPress, writes the title tag and schema, and links it from older posts. Rankable is an AI SEO agent that does that part: it researches, writes and publishes articles and writes technical fixes into WordPress or a file-served site on the same plan. It is not a rank tracker and not a backlink index, and it does not track AI answers. See the Clearscope alternative comparison or our AI SEO pricing table for the wider market.

Six things that decide your real Clearscope bill

The sticker price is simple. What it buys is not what most buyers expect.

Both plans get 20 drafts

Essentials and Business include the same 20 drafts a month. The extra $270 on Business buys tracking, pages and an account manager, not writing volume.

Users are unlimited

Clearscope never charges per seat. A team of twelve writers and editors pays the same $129 as a team of one, which is rare in this category.

Pages cap the monitoring

Essentials watches 50 pages and Business 300 for content decay. Past that you buy pages in blocks of 100 at $25 or $15 a month.

Tracked queries include AI answers

Every plan tracks your queries in ChatGPT and Gemini and shows brand mentions. That is a real reason to pay Clearscope that Rankable does not cover.

No publishing on the price list

Drafts and reports stay in the editor. Your team still pastes the final copy into the CMS, writes the meta and schema, and adds internal links.

No yearly discount shown

The pricing page shows monthly prices and no yearly toggle. Custom yearly plans are invoiced, so ask sales before you assume a discount.

How to pick a Clearscope plan in four steps

Size the plan on the 14-day trial before you commit.

1

Count drafts first

If 20 drafts a month is enough, Essentials is the plan. Business will not give you a single extra draft for the higher price.

2

Count pages you must watch

Under 50 pages, stay on Essentials. At 150 pages Essentials plus add-ons is $179, still far below Business at $399.

3

Use the 14 days on real work

Run your actual next ten articles through the trial. Time how long editing, formatting and publishing takes after Clearscope is done.

4

Price the publishing hours

If those hours are the bottleneck, run a free Rankable audit on the same site and compare a plan that publishes and fixes against more drafts.

Which Clearscope plan fits, and when Rankable fits better

An in-house team with writers

Clearscope Essentials at $129 with unlimited seats is excellent value when you already pay people to write and just need them to hit the brief.

A content lead watching decay

Business at $399 monitors 300 pages and 300 queries. Buy it for the monitoring and the account manager, not for the drafts.

A founder with no writer

Clearscope assumes someone writes and publishes. If that someone is you at 11pm, Rankable Starter at $99 publishes 4 articles and fixes the site.

An agency running client blogs

Clearscope has unlimited projects on both plans. Rankable Agency at $599 covers 15 sites and publishes 40 articles into them.

You need AI answer tracking

Stay with Clearscope or pair it with a publisher. Rankable does not track ChatGPT, Gemini or AI Overviews answers at all.

Webflow, Ghost or Wix sites

Rankable publishes only to WordPress and to file-served sites over SFTP. For other CMSs a publisher like Frase fits better.

Clearscope vs Rankable on price and scope

Clearscope is a grading editor with AI answer tracking for teams that write. Rankable is an agent that publishes articles and writes fixes into the site.

Clearscope pricing questions buyers ask

How much does Clearscope cost?

Clearscope costs $129 a month on Essentials and $399 a month on Business. Enterprise is quoted. Both plans include unlimited users and projects and 20 drafts a month, and a 14-day free trial comes first. A year of Essentials at list price is $1,548 and a year of Business is $4,788.

Does Clearscope have a free trial?

Yes. Clearscope offers a 14-day free trial and monthly plans carry no minimum contract, so you can cancel without a penalty. Some third-party reviews still say there is no trial; the vendor's own pricing page says 14 days. There is no free plan after the trial.

What is the difference between Clearscope Essentials and Business?

Business costs $270 more and raises tracked queries from 50 to 300, monitored pages from 50 to 300 and topic explorations from 20 to 50, and adds a dedicated account manager. Drafts stay at 20 a month on both, and add-ons are cheaper on Business.

Is Clearscope worth the price?

For teams that already have writers, yes: unlimited seats at $129 is fair for a grading editor plus ChatGPT and Gemini tracking. It is worth less if nobody has time to edit and publish the drafts, because the plans do not publish or fix the site. Compare the field on our AI SEO pricing page.

How much do extra Clearscope pages and drafts cost?

One hundred more monitored pages cost $25 a month on Essentials and $15 on Business. Ten more drafts cost $50 on Essentials and $20 on Business, which is $5 or $2 a draft. Enterprise add-ons are custom.

Does Clearscope publish articles to WordPress?

Its pricing page lists drafts, reports, page monitoring and query tracking, not CMS publishing, so plan on a person moving the final copy into WordPress. Rankable publishes articles as WordPress posts and writes titles, schema and alt text into the site; see automated content publishing software.

What is a cheaper alternative to Clearscope?

For drafts alone, Frase Starter at $49 includes 10 articles and publishes them to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity or Wix. If you want articles published and the site fixed on one plan, Rankable Starter is $99. Our Clearscope alternative page compares the rest.

Can I cancel Clearscope anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans have no minimum contract and you can upgrade, downgrade or switch plans as needs change. Yearly custom plans are invoiced and run for the agreed term, so prove the plan size on monthly billing first.
