SEO.AI is a Danish AI SEO agent that plans, writes and publishes pages and articles to your website, places backlinks through its own link exchange network and builds Google Ads campaigns, for $149 a month on one site. It suits a small business that has no time to produce content. It suits a site whose existing pages need technical fixes less well, and the public review record is thin.
We have not run SEO.AI on a site of our own, so this review sticks to what can be checked: the live pricing page, the product's own claims, the public reviews and Google's published rules. We build Rankable, a competing AI SEO agent, and we say where SEO.AI is the better buy.
Is SEO.AI worth it?
SEO.AI is worth it if your main problem is that new pages never get written and you want a tool that publishes them for you, with links and ads in the same plan. At $149 a month it costs far less than a content agency. It is worth less if your traffic is held back by the pages you already have: slow templates, missing titles and meta, broken schema, thin internal linking. The pricing page lists content, links, ads and monitoring, and it does not list technical fixes written into your site.
How much does SEO.AI cost?
SEO.AI costs $149 a month for one website in one language. The Multi Site plan is a slider: $299 for three websites or languages, $449 for five and $749 for ten, with a custom quote above ten. Annual payment takes 25% off, so Single Site drops to $111.75 a month, and every price excludes VAT. A year of Single Site on monthly billing comes to $1,788 before tax.
Two details change the bill more than the headline does. First, a language version counts as a site, so one store in English and Spanish needs the $299 plan. Second, the pricing page does not print how many articles a month you get, so you cannot work out a cost per article before you sign up. The full per-site ladder, with the annual figures, is on our SEO.AI pricing page.
What SEO.AI does for the money
Both plans include the same list: an agent that works around the clock, content recommendations and a publishing plan, pages and articles written to match what ranks, backlinks from real sites, Google Ads campaigns built and optimized, performance monitoring and free human support. The homepage adds that it works in more than 50 languages and connects to WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Magento and other systems in about ten minutes.
You choose how much control to keep. Content can publish automatically, save as drafts or wait for review inside the platform, and SEO.AI emails you each piece before it goes live. The FAQ says its SEO specialists spot-check the AI text, which is more human oversight than most tools at this price claim.
| What you check | What SEO.AI states | What to ask in the trial |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $149 a month, one site, plus VAT | The VAT line on a US invoice |
| Articles | Not printed on the pricing page | How many a month, how long |
| Backlinks | Automatic link exchange network | Links given versus received |
| Publishing | Auto, drafts or review | Start on review mode |
| Contract | Monthly has no binding period | Annual is binding, avoid at first |
| Results | Growth after 1 to 2 months for most | Your Search Console baseline |
Does SEO.AI build backlinks?
Yes, through an exchange. SEO.AI's homepage says it matches your site with relevant sites in its link exchange network and places links inside related content, so your authority grows as more members join. That is efficient, and it is also the part of the product that deserves the hardest questions.
Google's spam policies list "excessive link exchanges" among link schemes, meaning links swapped mainly for the sake of cross-linking. A well-run network that places a modest number of relevant links may never cause a problem. A site that gives and receives dozens of reciprocal links a month inside one network leaves a pattern that is easy to spot. During the trial, ask how many links your site will host for other members, whether you can approve them and whether they come out if you cancel. If those answers are vague, switch the link feature off if you can and judge the content on its own.
Is SEO.AI legit?
Yes, it is a real company. SEO.AI is run by an SEO team based in Copenhagen, prints its company address and VAT number in the footer, and sells month to month with a 7-day trial. What is thin is the independent evidence. The Capterra listing we found shows a single user review, a 1 out of 5 from November 2023, and several listings still quote old $49 and $99 tiers that are no longer on the pricing page. Most of the other pages ranking for SEO.AI reviews come from rival vendors. Treat the trial as your own review and measure it.
How to test SEO.AI in seven days
Seven days is too short to see rankings move, so test the inputs instead of the outcome.
- Record a baseline. Export the last 28 days from Search Console: clicks, impressions and the queries at positions 8 to 30. That is what you will compare against later.
- Turn on review mode. Read the first three pieces before they publish. Check facts, prices and claims about your own business, because those are where AI text goes wrong.
- Check the topic plan. Are the planned pages for queries a buyer types, or for traffic that will never convert? A plan full of definitions is a warning sign.
- Ask the link questions above before any link is placed.
- Audit the pages you already have. Run a free audit of your site somewhere else and see how many fixes your existing pages need. If the list is long, new content alone will not carry the site.
One more practical point. When the content works, more visitors arrive with questions before they buy, and a slow reply loses them. If your team cannot answer every inquiry quickly, an AI assistant that answers and qualifies inbound customer messages is worth setting up alongside the SEO work.
Who should buy SEO.AI and who should not
Buy it if you run one site, your pages are technically sound, you need a steady flow of new pages and you are comfortable with how the link exchange works. It is also the cheaper option at five sites or languages: $449 a month, where Rankable needs its $599 Agency plan. And if you want Google Ads handled in the same subscription, SEO.AI includes it and we do not.
Look elsewhere if your existing pages are the problem, if you want to approve every change to the site with a log and an undo button, or if you want links built by outreach rather than an exchange. Ten sites on SEO.AI cost $749 a month, about $74.90 each, and anything above ten is a custom quote.
SEO.AI alternatives at a similar price
- Rankable costs $99 a month for one site, $249 for three and $599 for fifteen, and yearly billing is half price, so one site is $49.50 a month. It audits the site, writes titles, meta, schema, alt text and internal links into WordPress or a file-served site, logs each change with one-click undo and publishes a few researched articles. It does not run a backlink index, does not place links and does not track rankings. Over a year on monthly billing, one site costs $1,188 against $1,788 on SEO.AI, a $600 difference before tax.
- Ranked AI starts at $99 a month per website and includes outreach links and rank tracking with a managed team, see our Ranked AI pricing breakdown.
- RankPill is $99 a month for 30 articles on one site, which suits a pure volume play, compared in RankPill pricing.
- Search Atlas OTTO starts at $99 a month for one site and applies technical fixes through a pixel, covered in OTTO SEO pricing.
If you are still deciding between a tool and a person, our page on the SEO agency alternative sets the monthly cost of each side by side.
The verdict
SEO.AI is a credible, low-friction way for a small business to get new pages published, with links and Google Ads in the same $149 plan and a 7-day trial to check the writing. Test it on review mode, ask hard questions about the link exchange and keep your Search Console baseline. If your site needs its existing pages fixed first, an agent that writes those fixes in, with an undo for each one, is the better first purchase.
