Machined AI costs $19 a month for 30 articles on Launch, $49 for 100 on Growth, $99 for 250 on Pro and $249 for 750 on Scale. A separate BYOK plan charges a $99 platform fee for up to 2,000 articles, and you pay your own AI provider, about $0.20 an article by Machined's estimate. Annual billing saves 25%, and a 7-day trial of Launch needs no credit card.

This review covers price, plan limits and fit for a US business site. Every figure comes from Machined's own pricing page, read from a US connection. We have not run a paid Machined account, so we say nothing here about article quality we could not check ourselves.

How much does Machined AI cost?

The thing to know first is that most review pages are out of date. They describe a free plan with 10 articles, then Starter at $20, Professional at $33 and Unlimited at $66, with your own OpenAI key required on every plan. That ladder is gone. The current page has no free tier, four plans with the AI costs included, and a separate plan for people who want to bring their own key.

PlanMonthly priceArticles a monthTeam seatsPer article
Launch$19302$0.63
Growth$491003$0.49
Pro$992505$0.40
Scale$24975010$0.33
BYOK$99 plus AI providerUp to 2,00010About $0.20 in AI

Every plan includes unlimited websites and unlimited CMS connections, so the price scales with articles and seats, not with how many sites you run. Machined says annual billing saves 25%; the yearly figures are not printed per plan on the page, so check the checkout before you commit.

What does each Machined plan include?

The features are the same on all four plans. You get single articles and full content clusters, deep research that scrapes source pages for context, AI-generated featured images, internal links between the articles of a cluster, external links to authoritative sources and inline citations. Publishing is one click to WordPress or Webflow, and unlimited webhooks send articles to Zapier, Make or anything else. The only things that change as you move up are the article count and the number of people who can log in.

That makes plan choice simple: count the articles you will really publish in a month and pick the smallest plan that covers them. Paying for Scale's 750 articles only makes sense if you run several sites or an agency that ships content in bulk.

Is the Machined BYOK plan cheaper?

Only at high volume. BYOK is a flat $99 for the platform, and you connect Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter and pay them per article. At 250 articles a month and Machined's own estimate of $0.20 each, that is about $149 all in, which costs more than the $99 Pro plan for the same 250. At the full 2,000 articles it works out to roughly $499 ($99 plus $400 in provider costs), where no regular plan reaches. The estimate moves with article length, research depth, images and model, so treat it as a range, not a quote.

Does Machined AI have a free plan?

No. The free tier with 10 articles a month that older reviews mention no longer exists. You can use Launch free for 7 days without a card, then pick a paid plan from $19 a month.

Is Machined AI worth it?

On price per article it is hard to beat. At 49 cents an article on Growth, a month of content costs less than one freelance post, and the clusters arrive already linked to each other. If you run niche sites and plan to sell them one day, that output is what buyers look at, so it helps to estimate what the business is worth before and after a year of publishing to see whether the spend moved the number.

It is a weaker buy in two situations. The first is a site that already publishes and still does not rank. When the homepage title leads with the brand, service pages carry no schema and nothing links from the blog to the pages that sell, another hundred articles land on the same weak foundation. Machined links the articles in a cluster to each other; it does not edit the pages you already had. The second is a business that needs a few deep pages aimed at buyers rather than a large calendar of informational posts. Read whether autoblogging still works before you scale volume on a site with that kind of backlog.

Machined vs other AI SEO content tools on cost per article

All figures are monthly list prices from each vendor's own pricing page.

ToolPriceArticlesPer article
Machined Growth$49 a month100$0.49
SoroFrom $39 a month30 or more$1.30 at 30 posts
Arvow Solo$69 a month, $39 yearlyCredit basedDepends on length
BabyLoveGrowth Grow$99 a month, $49 yearly30$3.30
Rankable Starter$99 a month, $49.50 yearly4 plus 60 site fixes$24.75

Machined is the cheapest line in the table by a wide margin, and Rankable is the most expensive on that measure, on purpose: its $99 also pays for up to 60 fixes a month applied to the pages you already have. If Arvow is also on your list, our Arvow pricing review breaks it down the same way.

What the Machined price does not cover

The plan pays for new articles and the links between them. It does not touch the rest of the site. Title tags that waste the first words on the brand, missing canonicals, broken internal links, image alt text and schema on service pages stay as they are unless you or a developer fix them. On many small business sites that backlog decides more rankings than the next cluster.

That is the gap Rankable fills. It is an AI SEO agent that audits the whole site against 147 checks, then writes the fixes into WordPress or a file-served site: titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, schema, image alt text, broken links and internal links, plus 4 researched articles a month on Starter. Rankable does not track rankings, does not run a backlink index and does not write in bulk. Our Machined AI alternative page compares the two feature by feature, and the wider field is on the automated content publishing software page.

Can you use Machined and Rankable together?

Yes, on WordPress. Machined keeps publishing clusters while Rankable fixes titles, schema and internal links across the site, including links from the new posts to your service and pricing pages. On Growth that pairing costs $148 a month ($49 plus $99). On Webflow, Rankable cannot publish, so Machined alone is the practical choice there.

Who should buy Machined

  • Buy it if you need many interlinked articles a month at the lowest cost, run several sites, and your sites are already technically clean.
  • Look elsewhere if your site already publishes and does not rank, or if you want a handful of buyer-focused pages and fixes to the pages you have.
  • Start small: use the 7-day trial and monthly billing first, and move to annual only once the articles meet your standard.

The short version

Machined is $19 to $249 a month for 30 to 750 articles, with unlimited sites on every plan, and $99 plus provider costs on BYOK. It is the best value for volume we have priced. If your problem is the pages you already have, start with a free Rankable site audit, which lists every fix before you pay, then decide whether you need more articles, a better site or both.
